How to Resolve Avast Activation Code Error 305

Avast Antivirus software protects your computer from threats both online and offline. Avast Activation Code Error 305 is a run-time error that can occur if you mistyped your activation code, or if the license file has been corrupted. Follow these steps to fix this error.

Solution 1 – Retry Activation or Recover your Subscription

  • You will receive an email confirmation if you have purchased an activation code.
  • From the email you received, you can confirm that you have entered the correct activation codes.
  • Log in to your Avast account to retrieve your subscription.
  • To activate your subscription, click the Copy to clipboard link right next to the activation code.
  • Copy the activation to your clipboard.
  • Right click on the Avast icon in the system tray to restart the activation process.
  • Select the Subscription Information option in the pop-up menu.
  • Select the Subscription Information option, and then enter the activation code.
  • Download a copy of the license file you purchased to activate the Avast Antivirus software.

Solution 2: Reinstall Avast Antivirus

  • Open the Control Panel app on your Windows computer.
  • At the bottom, click the Uninstall a program link.
  • Select Avast Antivirus Software from the Uninstall Programs screen and click the Uninstall button.
  • If you are prompted to confirm your action, click the Uninstall button once again.
  • This will remove your antivirus program from your computer.
  • You can also remove the Block Avast Popups.
  • Restart your computer after removing the Avast program.
  • Visit the official Avast website to download compatible antivirus software.
  • After downloading, open the installation file and activate the license with the correct activation code or copy.
  • After installation, start the program to verify that Avast activation error 305 has been fixed.
